Make no mistake, Fisher still has his audience in the palm of his hand. . . .” And so on. Problem was, the release never said where the show took place. For the record: Eddie opened at Van Wezel Hall in Ft. Myers, Fla., moving on the next day to Exhibition Hall in . . . Ft. Myers, Fla.

. . . Mel Gibson, who expects to begin director Franco Zeffirelli’s big-screen “Hamlet” this April in London if production plans move forward, has been approached by 20th Century Fox to star in a new film version of “Robin Hood.” Director: John McTiernan (“Die Hard”).

. . . In the soon-to-shoot ABC/New World MOW “Metamorphosis,” Bill Bixby returns as David Banner--a.k.a. the Incredible Hulk. The story has him romancing a woman who winds up needing a blood transfusion. Banner supplies the blood, which means we’ll have a She-Hulk. Back-door pilot?
