Nebraska football Coach Tom Osborne wants all NFL teams to gain his permission before drafting an underclassman, but he said that isn’t an attempt to block players from turning professional.

Osborne said he wants underclassmen to know the odds of their making a professional team.

Teams unwilling to sign the agreement to gain Osborne’s permission won’t be given access to any Nebraska players on campus.

“The response we’ve gotten so far from the pro clubs has been very positive,” Osborne said. “The pros tell us they don’t want underclassmen.”
