UC San Diego and Cal State Dominguez Hills played to a 0-0 tie in a nonconference game at Dominguez Hills. Goalkeepers Karin Carper, UCSD, saved seven shots and Jennifer Lueck, CSDH, saved six.

Dominguez Hills (3-4-1) finished second in Division II last year and was the only team to defeat the defending Division III national champion Tritons (5-1-1).
