Horse Racing : Miss Easy Breaks Pacing Record for 2-Year-Old Fillies
Miss Easy paced a mile in 1:51 2/5 in the first division of The Red Mile’s K.D. Owen Stakes to set a world record for 2-year-old fillies Tuesday.
The mark also tied the all-age distaff record set this year by 4-year-old Caesar’s Jackpot at the Meadowlands.
L Dees Trish set the previous record of 1:52 for 2-year-old fillies at The Red Mile in 1988.
Miss Easy’s final margin was 11 lengths over Shady Daisy. Shady Daisy won the $39,700 final by five lengths over R M Gee, with Miss Easy scratched.
Miss Easy has won 13 of 14.
