Cocaine Worth $9 Million Seized in Series of Arrests
Authorities on Wednesday announced the seizure of up to $9 million worth of high-grade cocaine along with vehicles and an undetermined amount of cash.
Long Beach police narcotics detectives and U.S. Customs officials made an unspecified number of arrests as a result of the seizures, which took place late Tuesday and Wednesday, Lt. Steve McAndrew said. He said an estimated $8 million to $9 million worth of top quality powder cocaine was recovered, along with an undisclosed amount of cash and a number of vehicles.
The drugs were discovered by authorities serving an undisclosed number of search warrants in Los Angeles County. None of the search warrants were for Long Beach locations.
