Two Oxnard police officers were hurt in separate car accidents on Thursday, police said.

Sgt. Frank Devorick suffered back and neck injuries when the patrol car he was driving was involved in a four-car accident at Wooley Road and J Street about 9 a.m., said Lt. Robert Kelley.

Felipe Ceja Hernandez, 24, of Oxnard was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and drunken driving after his car hit another vehicle, which then hit the officer’s unmarked car, Kelley said.

The driver and passenger of another car also received neck and back injuries and were taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
