For the first time since it became open to the public in 1978, the NBA draft will be held outside New York. The 1992 draft will be conducted June 24 in Portland’s Memorial Coliseum to coincide with the Tournament of the Americas Olympic qualifying basketball tournament in that city.
The tournament will determine which teams from the Western Hemisphere will compete in the Barcelona Olympics.
