HELPING OUT

Giving Aid: Pro-Visions, a division of the Ralston Purina Co., has answered a request from Actors and Others for Animals and is donating 40,000 cans of cat and dog food and 7,100 pounds of dry as well as canned food to riot victims in South-Central Los Angeles. . . . The Comedy Store will host a “Comedy Jam for Riot Relief” tonight at 8, with patrons encouraged to bring dry goods. . . . Last weekend’s “Comic Relief V” had generated $6.2 million in pledges to help the homeless as of Tuesday.
