South Gate 20, Roosevelt 17--Running back Alan Cervantes scored on a three-yard run with 4:17 left to give South Gate a Southeastern Conference victory.
Cervantes rushed 22 times for 99 yards.
Roosevelt, led by junior running back James Sanchez’s 77 yards in 12 carries, took the lead in the third quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by quarterback Frank Madrid.
