Titans Sign Two Baseball Recruits, : Three Women’s Basketball Players
Matt Stone, a pitcher/first baseman from Vista High School, and Gabe Kapler, a shortstop from Woodlands Hills Taft High, have signed letters of intent to play at Cal State Fullerton, associate head Coach George Horton said Thursday.
Stone, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound left-hander, had a 12-1 pitching record and hit .406 with four home runs last season at Vista. Horton did not have statistics for Kapler.
First-year Titan women’s basketball Coach Deborah Ayres has signed three players: Elk Grove High forward Kim Cram, Sierra College guard Autumn Hollyfield and Diablo Valley College center KoKo Lahanar.
Cram averaged 13 points, six rebounds and three assists last season, earning All-Delta League first-team and All-Sacramento County honorable mention honors.
Hollyfield, a graduate of Newcastle Del Oro High, averaged 21 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists and was named most valuable player of the Bay Valley Conference.
Lahanar, who attended Carondelet High in Concord, averaged 19.6 points, 12.5 rebounds and three steals and was an All-Bay Conference first-team selection.
