College Board Honors 4 Local Graduates
The College Board has honored 14 students--four from the San Gabriel Valley--with the National Advanced Placement Scholars Award, the highest honor for achievement in college-level study in high school.
The students had all reached the equivalent of college juniors before graduating from high school last June.
The San Gabriel Valley students are Sooketoo Bhuta and Michael Cho of Damien High School in La Verne, and Gregor N. Gentschev and Mia D. Rondinella of Polytechnic School in Pasadena. Bhuta attends Caltech, Cho the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Gentschev Stanford University and Rondinella Princeton University.
