Spencer Henderson; Movie, TV Choreographer, Dancer
Spencer Henderson, 44, Broadway, television, film and nightclub dancer and choreographer. His Broadway musicals included “Promises, Promises,” “Jesus Christ, Superstar” and “Zorba.” He danced in nightclub shows staged by Shirley MacLaine, Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera and on television on Emmy, Grammy, People’s Choice and Golden Globe awards shows, and on “The Tonight Show” and “Merv Griffin Show” among others. His choreography appeared in the film “Steel Magnolias,” in which he also danced. A native of Ft. Worth, Tex., Henderson studied at the National Ballet Academic School in Washington, D.C., the Harkness Ballet School and the Joffrey Ballet School, both in New York. On Sunday in Ft. Worth of AIDS.
