COLLEGE SIGNINGS : San Clemente’s Gardner to Play Volleyball at USC
Gabe Gardner, a two-sport standout at San Clemente, signed a letter of intent with USC to play volleyball, San Clemente boys’ volleyball Coach Mike Hurlbut said Tuesday.
Gardner, a 6-foot-9 outside hitter, was a first-team all-county selection by The Times and an All-Southern Section Division I selection last season. He also is a goalkeeper for the water polo team.

Eric Ambrozich, a 6-8 center at Saddleback College, has signed a letter of intent with Hawaii, Saddleback basketball Coach Bill Brummel said.
Ambrozich, from Irvine High, earned Orange Empire Conference honorable-mention honors after averaging 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and a block last season.

Chris Toomey, a right-handed pitcher and outfielder at Dana Hills, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Arizona State, Dolphin Coach Bob Canary said.
Toomey transferred to Dana Hills from University before his junior year.

Orange Lutheran’s Michelle Harrison, an All-Olympic League pitcher, has signed a letter of intent with Southwest Texas State.

Susie Erickson, a SCATS gymnast who attends Marina, has signed a letter of intent with UCLA.
