DANA POINT : Closed Session Set on County Fiscal Crisis
The City Council will hold a closed session tonight regarding the county bankruptcy crisis. Council members will discuss possible legal remedies in challenging the county’s bankruptcy filing, which has frozen $15.9 million the city deposited in the county investment pool.
The council will also consider hiring special legal counsel to represent the city.
The meeting will be held in an administrative conference room in City Hall at 6:30 p.m. City Clerk Sharon L. Waits said the council will not be announcing the results of the closed-door meeting in council chambers.
For information about the closed-door session, call (714) 248-9890.
