Concordia, SCC Open at Home

The Concordia and Southern California College women’s basketball teams each will play host to first-round games Tuesday in the Golden State Athletic Conference tournament.

The third-seeded Eagles (18-11), led by conference coach of the year Dave Wolter, face No. 6 Point Loma Nazarene (11-19). No. 4 SCC (17-12) plays No. 5 Biola (13-17). The winners advance to the semifinals Friday, with the lowest-seeded team left playing at No. 1 Fresno Pacific (19-9).

The Concordia men’s team, seeded No. 4, will play host to No. 5 Cal Baptist (13-16) in the first round Wednesday. No. 7 SCC (13-18) will play at No. 2 Westmont (19-8). The winners will advance to the semifinals Saturday at Whittier College.
