Irvine Valley College soccer player Jenny Kopfstein has received an appointment to the Naval Academy.

Kopfstein, a midfielder from Laguna Niguel, scored five goals this season for Irvine Valley, which was 15-4-1. She said she probably will spend at least 12 years in the Navy, four at the academy and eight in the service.
