JUROR REQUEST: They’ve heard from Roger Williams, Mr. Blackwell and even had a ride in the Goodyear Blimp. Now two O. J. jurors want tapes of the “Kevin and Bean Show” from Burbank radio station KROQ-FM. . . . Said Frank Murphy, the morning show’s producer: “We need to take care of each and every listener we have for the ‘Kevin and Bean Show’ because they’re precious and few.”

VALLEY NOW: When Operation Rescue California protests today at an undisclosed abortion clinic, members of the San Fernando Valley chapter of the National Organization for Women will be there. . . . Based in Van Nuys, the local NOW group has joined a coalition of reproductive-rights supporters for “clinic defense” anywhere in Southern California, says coordinator Jean Morrison. But finding the protest in time to “defend” is part of the battle: Operation Rescue keeps its plans secret to thwart counter-protesters like NOW.

RELIGION: The United Methodist churches have lost about 2 million members over the past 25 years, a trend the nation’s second-largest Protestant denomination is trying to reverse. . . . Bishop Roy I. Sano, above, president of the denomination’s Council of Bishops, is hoping a Universal Amphitheatre celebration next Saturday will herald a new era (B13).

KENNEL TROUBLE: Authorities raided the house of a Sun Valley woman Friday, freeing 140 animals from what they said were inhumane conditions. . . . Mary Lou Rossignol--whose pets included dogs, goats, roosters and cats--said, “These are my babies and I want them back, every single one of them” (B2).

TONYA EXHIBIT: Artist Deforrestt opened his exhibit of Tonya Harding silk-screen portraits Friday at the Burbank Airport Hilton. . . . And yes, Harding was there, too.
