Bryans Win Doubles Title
Twins Mike and Bob Bryan, 17, of Camarillo won the U.S. Tennis Assn.’s 18-and-under national doubles championship Saturday in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Bryans, seniors at Rio Mesa High, defeated Ryan Wolters of San Jose and Kevin Kim of Fullerton, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.
Jurisprudence
The Lancaster City Council/Redevelopment Agency will hold a public hearing 5 p.m. Monday at City Hall to discuss a lease agreement between the agency and owners of a minor league baseball team seeking to move to the Antelope Valley next spring.
Under the tentative deal, the Riverside Pilots, a Class-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, would relocate to Lancaster and play in a new 4,500-seat stadium built by the city at a cost of more than $7 million.
