OUTLOOK

The offense, which averaged 22.5 points last season, should be strong; the defense, which gave up 17.2, is a question mark. Walz passed for two touchdowns and nine interceptions last year, a ratio that will have to change. Brian Hogan (1,488 yards) leaves big shoes to fill, and that task falls to O’Meara, who is faster and has greater acceleration than his predecessor; whether he can find the holes Hogan found is still up in the air. He should get some help on the line from Goode, an all-league guard. The Sea Kings should get some help from two transfers, Crogan (Estancia) and Conway (Newport Harbor).
