Atlantic--Jerome Robinson hit a two-run homer and had four RBIs for Clemson (49-15), which beat Tennessee (43-20), 12-5, at Clemson, S.C.

South I--Alabama (49-17) got four RBIs each from David Tidwell and Corey Spiers and pounded out 24 hits in an 18-8 victory over Virginia (44-21) in the finals. Alabama batted .410 during the regional, scoring 49 runs in four consecutive victories.

South II--Louisiana State (48-15) set five NCAA Tournament records with a 13-hit, 18-run seventh inning in which 17 consecutive batters reached base in a 29-13 beating of Georgia Tech (40-25) at Baton Rouge.

East--Florida (48-16) advanced to the World Series for the first time since 1991 behind the pitching of John Kaufman, who retired 18 of the final 20 batters for Massachusetts (40-13) in a 12-2 victory at Gainesville.
