Reverse Sting Nets 10 on Drug Charges Near Apartments
Huntington Beach police teamed up with those in Placentia and arrested 10 people for trying to buy cocaine Friday night in a reverse sting operation aimed at cleaning up the Koledo Park area.
The apartments in the neighborhood near Beach Boulevard and Slater Avenue have been a troublesome source of drug dealing, say Huntington Beach police.
Undercover officers sold a cocaine substitute at the apartments from nightfall Friday until about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. The suspects face charges of solicitation for the purchase of a controlled substance.
Sgt. R.K. Miller said the department is planning more such operations in the neighborhood.
