LOOKING AHEAD / UPCOMING PREP EVENTS IN ORANGE COUNTY
CROSS-COUNTRY
More than 13,000 runners from more than 400 schools are expected to compete in the 50th Mt. SAC Invitational this weekend at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. Division III, IV and V teams begin competition at 1:50 p.m. Friday. Division I and II teams begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Fourth-ranked Newport Harbor and ninth-ranked Sonora will compete in the boys’ team sweepstakes races, which begin at 5 p.m. Friday. Nine county teams will compete in the girls’ division I and II races on Saturday, including top-ranked Esperanza and second-ranked Dana Hills. Saturday’s sweepstakes races begin at 9:30 a.m.
