Man Injured After Spill of Radioactive Material
A man suffered injuries Wednesday after the spill of a radioactive material at a chemical company, county fire officials said.
Paramedics arrived at California Bionuclear Corp. at 13125 S. Broadway about 8:30 a.m., where they assisted a man who was suffering from chest pains. He was transported to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Memorial Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, fire officials said.
A hazardous-materials team was sent to the site. Fire officials said a small amount of radioactive material was found.
