‘Last Supper’ Presentation Planned

A Living Dramatization of Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday at Yorba Linda United Methodist Church. The event is co-sponsored by Yorba Linda UMC and Friendship Baptist Church. Admission is free and care for children to age 3 will be provided. Pastor Ed Rutherford will present the message “Who Nailed Jesus to the Cross?” at 10 a.m. Sunday at Orange Hills Assembly. Temple Isaiah of Newport Beach will sponsor its 24th annual community Seder at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Cost for members is $25 for adults, $10 for children 5-13 and free for those younger than 4. The Rev. Don F. McMillan will give the message “Stones Will Cry Out” at 6 tonight at King of Glory Lutheran Church. Holy week services will consist of worship at noon and 7:30 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, noon and 7:30 on Good Friday and 6, 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. on Easter Sunday. The Lake Hills Chancel Choir, under the direction of Carolyn Wilkinson, will present the Richard Maunder edition of Mozart’s Requiem at 7 p.m. Good Friday. A “Taste of Passover” adult Education will take place at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Congregation Shir Ha-Ma’alot. Activities will include discussion on the story and traditions of Passover and sampling of Passover dishes. Next Saturday, the congregation will host a Community Family Passover Seder at 5:30 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Atrium Hotel. Cost is $36 for adults and $18 for those 12 and younger. The Cathedral Boys’ Choir of Trondheim, Norway, will be in concert at 7:30 tonight at Red Hill Lutheran Church. The choir is composed of 45 boys and 20 men, under the direction of professor Bjorn Moe. Rabbi Arnold Rachlis of University Synagogue was recently presented with the highest honor that the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Assn. bestows, the Ira Eisenstein Award, for lifetime achievement in the rabbinate.
