Nakamoto Honored by School District
Amy Nakamoto, a clerk at W.R. Nelson Elementary School, has been named 1998 Classified Employee of the Year.
Officials said they began presenting the award this year to recognize outstanding contributions from the district’s nonteaching employees.
“I’m honored to be chosen as the district’s first recipient of this award,” said Nakamoto, who has worked for the Tustin Unified School District in various capacities for 22 years.
School officials said Nakamoto is known for donating her time to after-school events, advisory boards and fund-raisers.
