PEPPERDINE (3-0) at LONG BEACH STATE (1-1), 7 p.m., KIEV (830)--The 49ers have stayed local, losing to Cal State Northridge before defeating Loyola Marymount. The Waves have defeated UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine and Fresno State by an average of more than 13 points. The bench played another big role for the Waves against Fresno on Thursday, as reserves Marc McDowell and Robert Fomby combined for 28 points.
