Sections of Anacapa Trail to Be Improved
The National Park Service plans to upgrade three storm-damaged sections of the trail system that loops around tiny Anacapa Island.
The two-mile trail is often used by visitors to stroll the island. It crosses the island’s high points, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific, as well as glimpses of sea lions and harbor seals on the rocks far below.
An environmental assessment of the improvements is available for public review until Oct. 16.
Requests for copies should be sent to Superintendent, Channel Islands National Park, 1901 Spinnaker Drive, Ventura, CA 93001.
