Nany’s Sweep Adapts, Wins
Nany’s Sweep, who had never raced beyond seven furlongs, defeated Cookin Vickie by 2 1/2 lengths to win Thursday’s $51,695 feature for fillies and mares at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by David Flores, Nany’s Sweep covered 1 1-16 miles in 1:42 1-5 and paid $5.60, $3.80 and $2.60.
Cookie Vickie returned $8.40 and $3.60, while People’s Princess was another half-length back in third and paid $2.60 to show.
The victory, worth $29,400, increased Nany’s Sweep’s career earnings to $80,800, with two wins in four starts.
