Brea Olinda 76, Foothill 45--The Ladycats (28-3) won their 11th consecutive section title after going on a 18-0 run in the first quarter in II-AA. Brea eventually stretched the lead to 42 points in the third third quarter. Chelsea Trotter scored 17, Lindsey Davidson added 14 and Kate Ides scored 12.

Brea’s suffocating defense forced 34 turnovers, and Jeri Costello had seven steals.

La Puente Bishop Amat 71, Culver City 49--Top-seeded Bishop Amat (26-3), in the finals for the first time after losing in the semifinals the last two seasons, got 21 points from Shannon Wosman and 19 from Allison Box, two seniors who won their 100th career game in II-A.

Bishop Amat Coach Richard Wiard said his team “was shellshocked” by Culver City jumping to a 10-2 lead less than two minutes into the game, but the Lancers answered with an 8-0 run. Box made two three-point baskets in the first quarter. The second came with six seconds remaining to give Bishop Amat the lead for good, 16-15.

Fullerton Rosary 47, Pomona Ganesha 44--Hayley Munroe missed her first seven shots but scored the go-ahead basket with 10 seconds left for Rosary (22-8) in Division III-AA.

Veranda James had 19 points, 23 rebounds and seven blocked shots for Ganesha (26-4).
