Chris Lombardo, a senior quarterback for Newbury Park who broke his leg in the second game of the season, is expected to accept a scholarship to Oregon, Coach George Hurley said.

Lombardo is scheduled to take a recruiting trip to Oregon next weekend. “He is the only quarterback they want,” Hurley said.

Lombardo would be the fifth quarterback in the region to accept a scholarship to an NCAA Division I school. Jason Winn of Granada Hills could become the sixth after beginning to receive interest.
