Drivers Snarled in Court Chaos
As many as 30,000 traffic tickets issued in Los Angeles County have been grossly mishandled, and even the Municipal Court judges overseeing traffic violations acknowledge that they are having a tough time getting to the bottom of the mess.
One result of the turmoil: Law-abiding motorists are at risk of having their driver’s licenses suspended by the state because their tickets were entered late into the court’s data-processing system.
