* Re “Going to Bat for Better Access to Fields,” April 21: I remember as a child in the 1960s all of the things I was told I could not do because I was a girl. As a college student I was one of the participants in the women’s rights movement, confident that the little girls who came after me would not have to face the same outrage of closed doors and glass ceilings.
All these years later, what has changed? The “adults” running the city of Montebello should be ashamed of discriminating against half their population.
