Moiso Finds Game Again From His Role Off Bench

Share

Jerome Moiso has jump-started his game again, after getting 16 points, eight rebounds and two blocks Saturday against Oregon State.

But a starter again?

The Bruins are 10-1 with Sean Farnham in the opening lineup at power forward, including 4-0 in 1999-2000. Making a change just when success has come to the Bruins seems risky, especially at this critical time of the season. Coach Steve Lavin has three days to think it over, before playing Thursday night at California, but has seen Moiso play better on several occasions off the bench.

“From Jerome’s standpoint, he gets to watch a little first, which makes him feel more comfortable,” Lavin said.

Moiso said he does not prefer one role over the other. What he does know is getting the starting job back now won’t come as a handout.

“Well,” Moiso said, “I guess I’m going to have to reclaim that.”
