Highlight Reel: After forcing a turnover, the Lakers displayed great teamwork when Derek Fisher and Kobe Bryant passed the ball to set up a one-hand reverse dunk by Robert Horry.

It’s Not in the Box Score: When Shaquille O’Neal picked up his second foul 5 minutes 10 seconds into the game and went to the bench, the Laker triangle offense did not skip a beat with Horace Grant moving into the middle and Horry to power forward.

Winning Number: Three. Jason Williams, Sacramento’s flashy point guard, is known for taking dumb shots but he made all of his field-goal attempts in the quarter, including two three-pointers.

Wrong Number: 4:22. The amount of time that elapsed before Bryant’s first shot, an air ball. He was one of six from the floor with two turnovers.

Highlight Reel: From the right side of the lane, Webber showed off some of his awesome offensive talent when he used a drop step and spin move on Grant on the post and finished the play with a sweet reverse layup.

It’s Not in the Box Score: The Lakers continued to hurt themselves by missing layups and uncontested shots.

Winning Number: Eight. The amount of points scored by Sacramento rookie Hidayet Turkoglu, who came off the bench to spark the Kings with a variety of baskets.

Wrong Numbers: One and eight. The amount of assists and turnovers by the Kings, who helped the Lakers keep the score close with sloppy ballhandling.

THIRD QUARTER

Highlight Reel: Bryant bounced back from a horrible shooting first half with a dominating quarter, scoring from all over the court, highlighted by a double-pump reverse dunk off a pass from Fox.

It’s Not in the Box Score: Sacramento made a run when Divac finally started attacking the Lakers’ interior defense with strong moves to the basket and by running the floor.

Winning Number: 20. Points scored in the paint by the Lakers. O’Neal set the pace with five baskets to help his team shoot 56.5% from the field.

Wrong Numbers: Two and four. The amount of points scored and field goals attempted by Lakers not named Bryant or O’Neal as the big two combined for 29 of the team’s 31 points.

FOURTH QUARTER

Highlight Reel: Pollard is known for his funny hairstyle but the Sacramento big man looked weak when O’Neal rolled over him for easy baskets, highlighted by a fadeaway baseline jump shot and a series of power slams.

It’s Not in the Box Score: Fox showed why he is so valuable to the Lakers by stepping up with a masterful defensive performance on Stojakovic, limiting the Kings’ top scorer in the playoffs to only two baskets in the quarter.

Winning Numbers: Nine and one. Total rebounds and blocked shots in the quarter by O’Neal, who didn’t have a great shooting afternoon but did plenty of other things, including a key rejection on Williams late in the game.

Wrong Numbers: Zero, one and three. Points, rebounds and minutes played by Divac.
