Update--These teams aren’t hungry for a win, they’re starving. The Avengers have yet to taste victory in 2001, but they have three home games (plus one neutral-site game against Houston in Fresno) in the next four weeks. The Wranglers have lost four in a row. Avenger quarterback Todd Marinovich was suspended indefinitely after being ejected in the last two games. But even though the offense has been spotty at times, the Avenger defense has been dreadful, with only two interceptions (both by Mark Ricks) and no sacks. Oklahoma’s Brian Goolsby is second in yardage among Arena running backs, with 98 yards in 13 carries.
