Motorcyclist Is Killed While Racing a Friend
A 27-year-old motorcyclist from Anaheim was killed Saturday morning while racing a friend along Segerstrom Avenue, west of Harbor Boulevard in Santa Ana.
Hung Quoc Pham and Kody Tran, 34, of Tustin, had been heading east on Segerstrom in excess of 80 mph when Pham lost control of his Suzuki, hit the curb and was thrown from the bike, said Police Sgt. Carlos Rojas.
Pham’s helmet came off in the 9:45 a.m. accident, Rojas said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Rojas said.
