Teenage Athlete Dies After Motorcycle Crash
A high school athlete has died of injuries he suffered in an off-road motorcycle accident Sept. 13 at Perris Raceway, his family said Thursday.
Aaron Allan Ehlers Madvig, 15, who began riding at 7 and aspired to be a professional motocross racer, was practicing jumps when he flipped his Kawasaki and struck his head. He was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center, but never regained consciousness and died Wednesday afternoon.
Aaron, a sophomore at Mission Viejo High School, was a member of the varsity wrestling team. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at El Toro Memorial Park.
