Season Over for Sundin
From Associated Press
Toronto Maple Leafs’ captain and leading scorer Mats Sundin will sit out the rest of the playoffs because of a broken left wrist.
He was hit by a puck in Game 1 of the first-round series against the New York Islanders and is now “out indefinitely,” said Pat Quinn, Toronto’s coach and general manager.
The Leafs won the first two games of the best-of-seven series, but the Islanders have tied it, 2-2. Game 5 is today in Toronto.
“We have to have other guys step up,” Quinn said. “We have to suck it up and go at it.”
