Elderly Woman Killed in Collision With Train
From Times Staff Reports
An 87-year-old woman from Orange was fatally injured early Saturday when her car was hit by a freight train, police said.
Elise Armstrong was southbound on Crowther Avenue near Orangethorpe Avenue in Anaheim about 3 a.m.
The elderly woman might have lost control of her car and swerved onto the tracks, police said.
She was taken to UCI Medical Center, where she died at 7:07 a.m.
