A fire Sunday afternoon caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to a Newport Beach restaurant partially owned by former NBA star Dennis Rodman, authorities said. No injuries were reported.

The two-alarm blaze broke out about 2 p.m. in the back of Josh Slocum’s restaurant, 2601 W. Coast Highway, said Donna Boston, spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Fire Department.

The fire was contained within 30 minutes, but caused fire, smoke and water damage to the dining room and bar area, Boston said. The restaurant was vacant at the time.
