School Board Seeks Interim Replacement
Ventura County Board of Education members are expected to appoint a temporary replacement for former trustee Albert Rosen today.
The board will review applications and interview candidates in an open session at 4 p.m. Trustees will accept public comment at that time, officials said.
Rosen, 75, was convicted July 3 of molesting a 6-year-old girl more than 30 years ago. He resigned from his elected post a few hours later.
On July 12, the county board voted to solicit applicants from Simi Valley or Moorpark to serve until the end of Rosen’s four-year term Nov. 29. The seat will be open in the upcoming November election.
The meeting will take place at the Ventura County Superintendent of Schools Office, 5189 Verdugo Way, in Camarillo.
