Worker Found Dead Under His Truck
A 46-year-old construction worker from Moreno Valley was found dead early Saturday beneath his truck on the Santa Monica Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The man’s name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
He had stopped to post a sign in the eastbound lanes near the Hoover Street offramp.
“When he took a little longer than he should, a co-worker came by to check and found him under his truck near the front axle,” said CHP Officer Alex Delgadillo.
No other vehicles appeared to have been involved.
