Jason White completed 29 of 35 passes -- including a school-record 18 in a row -- for 383 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night as No. 2 Oklahoma routed Nebraska, 30-3, at Norman, Okla.

With standout freshman running back Adrian Peterson slowed because of a shoulder injury, White was at his best, breaking his streak of 16 completions in a row set last year over a span of two games.

Peterson, who dislocated his left shoulder in Oklahoma’s victory over Texas A&M; the previous Saturday, played sparingly. He did not start and had only three carries for two yards in the first half. Peterson had 15 carries in the second half and finished with 58 yards -- his lowest total. Peterson had at least 100 yards rushing in each of the first nine games and built a case for the Heisman Trophy with 1,373 yards. But White, who won the Heisman last year, would appear to have moved ahead of his teammate with his play on Saturday.

Peterson said he wasn’t concerned.

“If I run for 40 yards and Jason throws for 500 and we win, I’m happy,” he said.

Peterson said the shoulder was “just a little sore,” but the reason he didn’t start was his inability to practice leading to the game. Junior Kejuan Jones got the start and had 48 yards in 14 first-half carries -- including a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to make it 16-0.

The Sooners, 10-0 and 7-0 in the Big 12 Conference, finished the regular season Saturday at Baylor.

Cory Ross was the only bright spot for the Cornhuskers (5-5, 3-4) with 130 yards in 30 carries before leaving midway through the fourth quarter because of an injury.

Nebraska didn’t get past the Oklahoma 49 until the fourth quarter, when a six-minute, 14-play drive ended with an incomplete pass by Joe Dailey on a fourth-and-five play from the six.

The Cornhuskers broke the shutout when David Dyches kicked a 39-yard field goal as time expired.

No. 22 Texas A&M; 32, Texas Tech 25 -- Courtney Lewis scored on a 25-yard run on the first play of overtime and Melvin Bullitt swatted away Sonny Cumbie’s fourth-down pass into the end zone, sending the Aggies (7-3, 4-2) to victory at College Station, Texas.

Texas A&M; ended a two-game losing streak that included an overtime loss at Baylor and a seven-point defeat against No. 2 Oklahoma.

The Red Raiders (6-4, 4-3) saw a three-game winning streak over their in-state rival end.

No. 25 Oklahoma State 49, Baylor 21 -- Seymore Shaw, playing for the injured Vernand Morency, ran for a career-best 172 yards and a touchdown in 30 carries to lead the Cowboys (7-3, 4-3) past the Bears at Stillwater, Okla.

Morency had fluid drained from a bothersome knee before kickoff and was available to play, but the Cowboys didn’t need him with Shaw’s strong running. Baylor (3-7, 1-6) has lost nine in a row to Oklahoma State.

Colorado 38, Kansas State 31 -- Joel Klatt threw a 64-yard touchdown pass to Ron Monteilh with five seconds left at Boulder, Colo., to make the Buffaloes (6-4, 3-4) bowl eligible.

The loss ended any postseason hopes for the Wildcats (4-6, 2-5), who will stay home during the bowl season for the first time in 12 years.
