Update -- Having lost the first two games of four in a row on the road, the Galaxy trails first-place FC Dallas by four points in the Western Conference. Starting midfielder Guillermo “Pando” Ramirez remains sidelined by a ligament problem in his left knee. Galaxy defender Tyrone Marshall and Real striker Clint Mathis will miss tonight’s match while serving one-game suspensions. Forward Dipsey Selolwane returns for Real after scoring for Botswana in its 3-1 World Cup qualifying victory over Malawi on Saturday. In a 3-0 loss at San Jose on Saturday, Real Salt Lake extended its scoreless streak to 501 minutes overall and an MLS-record 511 minutes on the road, breaking the 495-minute record held by the Galaxy. The Galaxy has not won away from the Home Depot Center since June 27, 2004. “You can talk about it all you want, you can have meetings, you can say how determined you are and how you’re not going to lose again, but it just happens,” Landon Donovan said. “It’s absolutely mental now. I think we’ve been clearly better in the three road games I’ve been part of and for whatever reason we haven’t won. At some point ... things have to bounce our way.”
