Three construction workers burned in Monday’s explosion at the 30-story Hilton hotel under construction remain at UC San Diego Medical Center, with no change in their conditions, hospital officials said Tuesday. The workers, who suffered burns over 25% to 30% of their bodies, remain in medically induced comas.

The explosion was caused by a leak of natural gas, the Fire Department said. Fourteen people were hurt.
