CALIFORNIA BRIEFING / PANORAMA CITY
A 15-year-old girl was shot in the leg Sunday in an apparent gang-related incident, police said.
The shooting occurred just after 2 p.m. in the 9800 block of Vesper Avenue, near Van Nuys Boulevard in Panorama City, said Los Angeles Police Officer Karen Rayner.
One suspect, a juvenile who was not identified because of his age, was in custody and two others, also juveniles, were being sought, she said.
Police believe the girl knew her attackers, said Lt. Darryl Grayson.
The girl was taken to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, police said.
