Ducks tonight

AT WASHINGTON

When: 4 PST.

Where: Verizon Center.

On the air: TV: FS West; Radio: 830.

Records: Ducks 16-13-4, Capitals 18-11-3.

Record vs. Capitals (2009-10): 0-1-0.

Update: The Ducks have played 33 games, the most in the NHL, and Wednesday’s game against the Capitals begins a stretch of five on the road in seven nights. The Capitals are trying to rebound from six consecutive losses, including the last four home games and Sunday’s 7-0 disaster in New York at the hands of the Rangers. Capitals left wing and captain Alex Ovechkin has struggled too, scoring goals only twice in his last 14 games — well off the pace of his previous three seasons (65 goals in 2007-08, 56 in 2008-09 and 50 in 2009-10). For the Ducks, center Saku Koivu has recovered from the flu and is with the team, while Teemu Selanne (groin) is on the trip but questionable after sitting out the last two games and seven of the last 11.
