Gwyneth Paltrow shows off beautiful body at ‘Iron Man 3’ premiere

Gwyneth Paltrow was named the world’s most beautiful woman by People magazine on Wednesday, and she was clearly feeling foxy when she turned up at the premiere for her new film, “Iron Man 3,” later that day.

The 40-year-old actress walked onto the red carpet in a jaw-dropper of a gown with sheer side panels that showed off her taut derriere. Paltrow, however, said she selected the Antonio Berardi dress because the top portion reminded her of a superhero -- not because she wanted to flaunt her figure.

She didn’t deny that she was proud to receive the People honor, saying she felt “very flattered” upon hearing she had been deemed so attractive.

“It’s very sweet. I’ve got two kids. It’s different than being 22 and getting it,” she said.

Paltrow’s longtime personal trainer Tracy Anderson, who was on hand to talk about how she whipped the star into shape for the movie, was also oozing with pride for her friend over the honor.

“She’s someone who inside is really more beautiful than she is outside, if you can believe it,” said Anderson, who was carrying her newborn on the carpet. “But if they’re talking about that beautiful butt, then I will take some of that credit.”

In “Iron Man 3,” which hits theaters next weekend, Paltrow reprises her role as Pepper Potts, the girlfriend of the superhero played by Robert Downey Jr. The leading man seemed taken with his own beautiful lady outside the El Capitan Theatre on Wednesday, wrapping his arms lovingly around his wife, Susan, as he conducted interviews with the press.

“It’s just fun to find a role that a bunch of folks like... and the missus likes it,” he said, referring to Susan.
