Lauren Conrad shows off her ‘first haircut in years’

Lauren Conrad’s hair is not as long as it used to be and apparently that’s a big deal.

“The Hills” alum has chopped off her signature sweeping tresses, debuting a layered look that falls slightly past her shoulders on Wednesday.

“Got my first haircut in years,” she wrote, sharing a close-up selfie on Instagram.

The long-awaited change comes just weeks after the 28-year-old Paper Crown designer wed longtime boyfriend William Tell in September.

“We were waiting until post-wedding as she wanted her signature long locks for that day,” her longtime stylist Kristin Ess told Us Weekly. “I never thought I would hear her say she wanted to go short again, but I’m so excited that she did.”

LC also added lowlights, Ess said.

The former reality star wore the fresh cut in waves, as seen in her Instagram post and other photos of her after the big snip, People said.

Ess, who co-founded the Beauty Department blog, transformed Halle Berry’s signature pixie cut and the long locks that followed into a wavy bob last week.
