New releases

Thanksgiving represents the start of the home stretch for the record industry’s year-end blitz of new music releases, and from here on out it’s a nonstop slate of music and music-related videos that labels hope will turn into 11th-hour hits.

This week: Christina Aguilera, in her silver screen debut, finds a stripper-bar role model and mentor in Cher in “Burlesque,” and they share space as well on the soundtrack album. Swedish club queen Robyn releases her new “Body Talk,” and British post-punk band Killing Joke returns with “Absolute Dissent.” Michael Jackson fans can immerse themselves in his music videos with a new “Vision” three-DVD set that collects 35 of his made-for-TV films, plus seven bonus videos.

On Nov. 30 come the Black Eyed Peas’ new studio album “The Beginning,” the fourth volume of music from “Glee” and the latest from veteran R&B singer and songwriter Ron Isley, “Mr. I,” which gives him a shot at charting a hit in his sixth consecutive decade. Also coming out is superstar DJ Deadmau5’s latest work, “4x4=12.”

Dec. 7 brings Daft Punk’s soundtrack for the film “Tron Legacy,” 10 days ahead of the film’s arrival. New albums arrive the same day from British neo-soul singer Duffy, British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield, rapper T.I., and pop-punk group Plain White T’s. Also arriving is “LennoNYC,” the PBS “American Masters” entry that aired Nov. 22.
